The Alpert-Hall concert was "fantastic" according to a work partner who went. She said that Herb's playing was great, and that he shared an anecdote relating to Karen Carpenter for whom he was producer and arranger, which made him choke up, near tears.

This was on my bucket list! Was so excited to see a tour date in Cleveland! Awesome concert! Beautiful! Was very engaging and fun! Herb Alpert played medleys of his hits, and great other songs and had video in the background- cool concept. Lani Hall was terrific! Her voice is smooth and comforting. I could have sat and listened to both of them and their musicians all night! Thank you both for coming to Cleveland, Ohio- we love you :)

I more enjoyed his playing and hearing the music over the storytelling. At times I though he got lost in his word and I really wanted them to play more music and jam, with some stories, not the other way around. Good time though!
