Up until 2014, Future Islands were an acclaimed, but lesser known synth-pop band from Baltimore, but that all changed with their appearance on David Letterman's Late Show. Not only was lead singer Samuel Herring's dancing the stuff that memes' dreams are made of, but the song they played, 'Seasons (Waiting on You)', was obviously something special. Later named by Pitchfork as the best track of the year, 'Seasons' proved to be the band's breakthrough, and they now stand as one of the indie world's most respected groups.

One of British music's bright young things, Two Door Cinema Club's brand of melodic indie pop has proven popular with critics and the public alike. Formed in 2007, and composed by members Alex Trimble, Sam Halliday and Kevin Baird, the band have released a collection of albums. Following the release of 2022's album 'Keep Smiling', and the recently released new single, the Irish trio are returning to the road with support from Joywave and Daywave on selected dates.

Indie rock ain't dead and bands like Hippo Campus are proving its alive, kicking and evolving to new heights! Formed in 2013 when frontman Jake Luppen, guitarist Nathan Stocker, bassist Zach Sutton and drummer Whistler Isaiah Allen met at the Saint Paul Performing Arts Conservatory in their native Minnesota, the quartet quickly became a fixture in their local indie scene before graduating to the mainstream with the release of their debut album Landmark in 2017.
