Why see Thomas Dolby?
Blinded By Science
The Grammy Award-nominated Thomas Dolby is coming to a venue near you this summer. The synth-pop superstar, who is partly responsible for the iconic Nokia ringtone, is playing a wide range of dates, including the headlining spot for the eighties throwback festival, Totally Tubular. Dolby will be joined on tour by the Thompson Twins' lead vocalist Tom Bailey, so join them and transport yourself back to the world of new wave synthpop!
Born in England in 1958, Dolby is an entirely self-taught musician, starting with guitar, then piano, and then graduated to electronic instruments as soon as they were readily available. He famously has nothing to do with Dolby Labs, and was a close friend of the recently deceased Pogues singer, Shane MacGowan.
