Why see Zenith?
sandbox series world premiere
As we are constantly barraged with accounts of unspeakable, headline-grabbing crimes, it is no wonder that we find it increasingly difficult gain understanding of deplorable human behavior. Playwright Kirsten Greenidge explores this quandary in the complex and gripping Zenith, humanising the shocking and considering the intricacies of why we do what we do.
Drawn to the sad real life story of Diane Schuler, who seemingly intentionally drove down the freeway the wrong way for nearly two miles, tragically killing 8 people, including herself and her children, Greenidge has imagined what would drive a mother to this horrific act, and how the past affects us if we don't learn to let go.
