Steely Dan & Steve Winwood
Steely Dan are joined by the jazz-rock great on their new tour
Why see Steely Dan & Steve Winwood?
To greats on tour together
The legendary jazz-rock pioneers Steely Dan head out on tour this year with Steve Winwood! Coming to prominence in the 1970s, Steely Dan have one of the greatest catalogues of any still-touring rock band, with over four decades of songs to draw from, including their best-known tracks Do It Again and Reelin' in the Years.
Steve Winwood is probably most famous for his blue-eyed soul phase of the 1980s, which included the No. 1 Billboard charting Higher Love featuring Chaka Khan. Yet this commercial peak is only one side of Winwood, a British music legend whose career has stretched over some 50 years. He first emerged in the 1960s with The Spencer Davis Group, co-writing some of their biggest hits including I'm a Man and Gimme Some Lovin'. He later co-founded one of rock's first supergroups in Blind Faith and has been inducted into The Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame as a member of jazz-rock pioneers Traffic.
