Branden Jacobs-Jenkins Takes Us Inside a High-flying New York Office
Set in a cut-throat Manhattan editorial office, Gloria tells the story of young, high flying workers all interested in advancing their careers forward. The play highlights the digital workplace dynamics and how this affects working American lives.
Gloria premiered off-Broadway in May 2015 and was described as being "bitingly funny" and a play that is "never quite what you think it is" by The L.A Times and "merciless modern satire" by The Guardian.
Upon its debut, the play was nominated for two Lucille Lortel Awards, a Drama League Award, a Drama Desk Award, and two Outer Critics Circle Awards. It was also a finalist for the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.
