Metallica with San Francisco Symphony
There won't be another night like it!
Why see Metallica with San Francisco Symphony?
S&M2
Two worlds are set to collide this fall when Heavy Metal icons Metallica team up with the San Francisco Symphony for this unmissable inaugural concert of the new Chase Center. Dubbed 'S&M2' the one night only event will celebrate 20 years since this unusual partnership first collaborated on the 'timeless' 1999 live album S&M. Following the passing of the project's original conductor Michael Kamen, current music director Michael Tilson Thomas (lovingly known as MTT) will step up to the podium to lead the Lars, James, Kirk and Robert and the Symphony in an evening of symphonic rock bliss!
San Francisco natives Metallica have enjoyed a heady career as one of the biggest heavy metal outfits in the world. Nine-time Grammy winners, they've proven to be an untouchable part popular culture since forming in 1981.
The San Francisco Symphony, on the other hand, is one of the most recognized orchestras in the world. Known for their innovative approach and immaculate talents, it was formed in 1911 and continues to push boundaries alongside a serious commitment to music in all forms and genres.
