San Francisco Symphony - Labadie Conducts Mozart
Majestic Mozart
Why see San Francisco Symphony - Labadie Conducts Mozart?
Mozart Majesty
Conductor Bernard Labadie leads the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra and soprano Lucy Crowe through a magnificent all-Mozart concert, culminating in his majestic 39th Symphony as the star of the show! Featuring a smorgasbord of some of the lesser known beauties from Mozart's storied canon, including the first San Francisco performances of "Schon lacht der holde Frhling" and "Venga la morte...Non temer, amato bene".
Composed in 1788, Mozart's 39th is one of his final symphonies and is much celebrated for its elegant structure and trademark expressive melodies. Despite its relatively low profile compared to his 40th and 41st symphonies it's no less magical and an exhilarating showpiece to witness in person.
