Know, Did You?

John Williams had worked with Steven Spielberg on the film JAWS, and was recommended by Spielberg to George Lucus that Williams' be hired to compose the soundtrack for Star Wars. A few of William's pieces were influenced by some tracks that Lucus had given him; "Main Theme Title" was inspired by the 1942 film Kings Row and "Dune Sea of Tatooine" was from Bicycle Thieves.

Williams went on to conduct the pieces with London Symphony Orchestra in 12 days!
