After stunning with in San Francisco debut in 15/16 Krzyztof Urbanski returns to conduct Shostakovich's Tenth Symphony, his blistering commentary on the Stalinist era, written after he was released from denunciation on the dictator's death.

It was the composers second such sentence in 1948, where many of his contemporaries' works were deemed as inappropriate and against the regime, as such he was shunned and bade to only create music in line with the country's ideals. As such, on Stalin's death, he was able to get back to his creative roots and thus this incredible symphony was born.
