Hamlet

Why see Hamlet?

To see or not to see

For their first Shakespeare production since 1996 and in celebration of their 50th anniversary, A.C.T welcome back Tony nominee John Douglas Thompson to star as the infamous Dane in the Bard's finest tragedy. Considered the pinnacle of an actor's career, Hamlet continues to captivate, shock and resonate with every iteration.

Upon his return to his home state after years away, Hamlet, Prince of Denmark is greeted by the unwelcome truth that his father, the King has died and his mother has re-married to his uncle. When his father's ghost appears to him and tells him the truth behind his untimely demise, so begins a tale of revenge, paranoia and violence that sends the Prince spinning into a madness he will never recover from.
