Purveyors of sludgy, punk-laced metal Corrosion of Conformity hit the road once more
It was only a matter of time before the ferocity and jaggedness of punk rock met with the bone-shaking boom of metal, and that it did in the early 80s when punk-metal fusion pioneers Corrosion Of Conformity formed in North Carolina. Fuelled by the constant presence of guitarist Woody Weatherman, the ever evolving collective shifted away from the restrictive metal conventions of the time, fusing hardcore, sludgy heavy metal with an edgier, more aggressive sound, and hard-hitting, politically conscious lyrics.
Riding high after the early 2018 release of their tenth studio album 'No Cross No Crown', the innovative outfit is hitting the road once again this winter, bringing fellow sludge metal brethren Crowbar along for the infernal jaunt across North America. Delivering crushing riffs with a large side order of groove, technical mastery and fiery displays of devil-may-care charisma, Weatherman and co. know exactly how to pull off an explosive live show.
