Achieving notoriety whilst remaining a mystery is no easy task for a band. But when you hide your identity under monk's robes and a gruesome skull facepaint, as in the case of Ghost B.C., it sure is one way to draw attention! The Swedish Doom Metal outfit holds some controversial religious views that seem at odds with their melodic, accessible metal yet they've cultivated a successful international following through their eclectic live shows and unwavering commitment to their dark aesthetic.
Just in time for Halloween season, these ghouls are headed out on a tour of the US. Led by the enigmatic frontman Papa Emeritus (real name unknown), whose stage costume of choice is the aforementioned skull paint and priest's robes, the band has certain pop undercurrents that make their doom-laden anthems quite accessible. They're ready to shock, rock and roll!
